Version numbers are only part of the story

A higher version number often indicates a newer release, but numbering conventions vary by developer. Compare the developer’s release notes and publication date rather than treating a number alone as proof that a listing is up to date. A modified app can also use the original app’s version number without being the same file.

Check your Android version

Open your device settings and look under About phone to find your Android version. If an app requires Android 7.0 or later, a device running an older version will usually be unable to install it. Hardware architecture, available services, and regional availability can also affect compatibility.

Leave room for installation

The download size is not necessarily the final storage footprint. Installation can require temporary space, and games may download additional assets after launch. Check free storage before starting and leave some capacity for updates and normal device use.

Compare with official information

Use the developer’s official release information to confirm supported devices and changes. Details shown in Apk Modn’s sample listings are illustrative and have not been independently verified; they should not replace the developer’s documentation.
